Alright folks, buckle up! We’re gonna take a roller-coaster ride through the web-tastic world of Spider-Man. We’re talking two decades of Spidey action, from the humble beginnings in 2002, right up to the universe-juggling spectacular of 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”

Kickoff with the Spider-Man Trilogy (2002-2007)

Spider-Man" (2002)

So, where did it all begin? With Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” (2002), that’s where! We first meet Peter Parker, just your average high-school kid in New York City. That is, until a souped-up spider bites him, and boom! He’s got superpowers. But it’s not all fun and games. His Uncle Ben bites the dust, teaching Peter the hard truth that “with great power, comes great responsibility.”

The 2004 sequel, “Spider-Man 2,” throws a new wrench in the works. Enter Doctor Octopus, a brainiac turned metal-manipulating baddie. Poor Peter’s in a pickle, trying to keep his two lives from colliding. But hey, nobody said being a superhero was easy!

Now, “Spider-Man 3” (2007) is where things get real dark. Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man tangles with a nasty symbiote, turning him into the bad guy! Peter’s gotta dig deep to beat his inner demons and a revamped Green Goblin.

The Amazing Spider-Man One-Two Punch (2012-2014)

Amazing Spider-Man

Fast-forward to 2012, and we’ve got “The Amazing Spider-Man” reboot. Andrew Garfield takes the baton as Peter, a teen dealing with his folks’ absence. Then wham! A freaky spider bites him, giving him superpowers. Our hero suits up to battle crime as Spider-Man.

“Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014) turns up the heat with a shocking villain, Electro, who controls electricity. The movie also packs a punch in the gut when Peter’s girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, kicks the bucket.

Then Spidey swings into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), with Tom Holland rocking the role. Spidey throws in his lot with Team Iron Man, marking a whole new chapter in his story.

In “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017), Peter’s juggling high school and superhero duties. But then the Vulture swoops in, a crook who swipes high-tech gadgets for his evil deeds.

Infinity War 2018

The two Avengers movies, “Infinity War” (2018) and “Endgame” (2019), see Spidey and the gang taking on the big baddie, Thanos. He is turned to dust by Thanos’s snap.

Spider-Man is brought back to life by the Avengers and helps them defeat Thanos. He also travels back in time to collect the Infinity Stones.

Spider-Man: Far From Home 2019

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019) takes Peter on a European vacation. But no rest for the wicked! He’s got to battle Mysterio, a trickster who messes with illusions.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021) is one for the books. After his secret identity gets leaked, Peter asks Doctor Strange for a do-over. But instead, villains from other dimensions come pouring into the MCU.

Morbius

In 2022, we’ve got “Morbius”. Jared Leto takes center stage as Dr. Michael Morbius. The poor guy’s got a nasty blood disease, but when he tries to find a cure, things go sideways real quick. He ends up stirring up some blood-sucking, vampire-style powers instead. This one’s a bit of a curveball, folks! No Spider-Man, just his villains. And word on the street is, there’s more where that came from. “Kraven the Hunter” is slated to hit screens in October
